Sky Bet EFL Championship predictions

Stoke v Bristol City

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 14 September 2019

Venue: bet365 Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent

There just seems to be no turning the corner for Stoke. Gary Rowett came in for a lot of harsh criticism when he only had Stoke at mid-table half way through last season. Whether that was justified or not, the appointment of Nathan Jones quite simply hadn’t worked with just 3 league wins and a terrible start to this campaign.

Bristol City on the other hand are a team heading the other way very much on the up and you will be surprised to see they are outsiders in this game. Unbeaten in their last 5 and 5th in the table makes them great value here.

Result prediction: Bristol City away win (Best odds: 13/5 with Betway)

Correct score prediction: 0-2 (Best odds: 18/1 with Coral)

Sky Bet EFL League One predictions

Accrington Stanley v Sunderland

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 14 September 2019

Venue: Crown Ground, Accrington

For Accrington, there was always a fear of second season syndrome. The problems at Bury and Bolton are what’s keeping them out of the drop zone at present, but the truth is, they took over two thirds of their points tally last season in the first half of the season.

Sunderland remain and always will be the team everyone in League 1 wants to beat. But they should have too much here and will want to bounce back from their first defeat of the season last time out.

Result prediction: Sunderland away win (Best odds: 23/20 with BoyleSports)

Correct score prediction: 0-2 (Best odds: 43/4 with SportNation)

Peterborough United v Rochdale

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 14 September 2019

Venue: Weston Homes Stadium, Peteborough

Not a lot separates these two, just 2 places and 1 point. However, Peterborough have home advantage so that counts for something. They also have a cracking form; with 3 wins from 3, including thrashing previously unbeaten Sunderland last time out.

Rochdale have just one win from their last four, and given that was against Southend who have lost six out of six, we feel fit to tip Peterborough with confidence here.

Result prediction: Peterborough home win (Best odds: 8/11 with Coral)

Correct score prediction: 3-0 (Best odds: 25/2 with Sportingbet)

Sky Bet EFL League Two predictions

Exeter City v Leyton Orient

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 14 September 2019

Venue: St James Park, Exeter

Leyton Orient are going steady guns on their return to league football, but this will be a tough test for them.

Exeter are flying high at the top of the league and unbeaten in 7 games. With 3 wins at home and a draw to Swindon, who themselves sit in 3rd, there are already signs that this could be their year for a serious automatic promotion push.

If thats’ the case then they need to be taking 3 points in fixtures like this.

Result prediction: Exeter home win (Best odds: 1/1 with Betfred)

Correct score prediction: 2-1 (Best odds: 17/2 with SportNation)
