Gameweek 8 Premier League football predictions and accumulator betting tips

This week’s free football predictions and accumulator betting tips for the Premier League includes a Spurs banker, a stalwart draw and a United upset.

This weekend features a match being billed as the ‘battle of the champions’.  The two favourite title contenders face up in what could be a very telling clash.

Liverpool host Man City on Sunday, which would see the winners breaking away from the pack for the first time this season.  Liverpool and City are both unbeaten in the Premier League, but all the bookies are putting Man City ahead of Liverpool for the title with Bwin offering 13/20 on City and 2/1 on Liverpool.

With Liverpool’s home advantage on Sunday, this fixture is too hard to call.  So the Best Free Bet Scout isn’t tipping this one for this week’s accumulator.

The late Saturday kick-off however, is our big odds tip for the accumulator.  Man United host Newcastle, and this could well see the downfall of Jose Mourinho.  Newcastle boss Benitez is an experienced manager who will set his team up to play against United’s current weaknesses, and exploit their recent loss in confidence.

Man United v Newcastle United

Kick-off: 5:30pm (BST) Saturday 6 October 2018

Where to watch live on TV in the UK: BT Sport 1 / BT Sport 4K UHD

Venue: Old Trafford

Referee: Anthony Taylor

Despite their dismal performances of late, and the off-field sulking and confrontations, Man United are still the bookies’ clear favourites to win on Saturday evening.

Newcastle have had a bad start to the season having lost 5 out of 7 and are yet to find a win.

Benitez has managed to keep the pressure off his players, and all fan anger seems to be directed toward owner Mike Ashley due to lack of investment in the squad.

If United fail to beat Newcastle, it will mean a run of 5 matches without a win – which hasn’t happened since 1999.

The pressure will all be on United, which may pay in Newcastle’s favour.  We think they’ll exploit this pressure and take the bull by the horns.

Newcastle could just pip this one with a narrow victory.  With their huge odds boosting the accumulator this week.

Crystal Palace v Wolves

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 6 October 2018

Venue: Selhurst Park

Palace will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing result on the road on Monday night, conceding a last-minute penalty.

Having won 3 of their last 5 games, Wolves are the bookies favourites. Palace are a tough side to beat at home tough, and if they can regain the quality they started the season with, having got their squad back to full strength, they should have enough to put a stop to Wolves’ fine run.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 2-0 (Get 12/1 odds on this result with Bwin)

Tottenham Hotspur v Cardiff City

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 6 October 2018

Venue: Wembley stadium

Spurs put in a great performance against Barcelona in midweek, but were undone by the magnificent Lionel Messi.

They’ll be disappointed to be bottom of their Champions League group, but they’ll be spurred on knowing they matched up to Barcelona for much of the game.

Cardiff just don’t have the quality in their side to face up to Spurs at Wembley, so expect a comfortable home win.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 3-0 (Get 29/4 odds on this result with Bwin)

Burnley v Huddersfield

Kick-off: 3:00pm (BST) Saturday 6 October 2018

Venue: Turf Moor

Both of these sides have struggled to find goals this season.  Burnley however have started to find a little form.  With their home advantage on the confidence boost they’ve had of late, they should have enough to put Huddersfield away.

Best Free Bet Scout’s Prediction: 2-0 (Get 33/4 odds on this result with Bwin)
